George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. I graduated from carpentry school in 1987. I work in the first five years, only furniture high class for Germany and France. Solid wood. I can do flooring . Antique , engineering flooring, as well as solid wood. I cand build things T&G no nails no screw. I like to do 5 good quality and give a warranty for my work. MDF ,we warranty up to 2 years, and solid wood up to 6 years I have a work shop where I can build things and furniture. We are highly trained in cabinets making. Al tips of bespoke furniture. Andy Handyman has been in existence for nearly ten years...I have been a carpenter joiner for about twenty years, focusing on mainly second fix and joinery. Wardrobes cabinets, bookshelves also flooring, wood and laminate City & Guilds Carpentry Joinery
Andy chose an FD30 door. He asked for £250 in advance which I paid as he seemed trustworthy. He trimmed the door and has damaged top and bottom. No peephole as promised. The door is of no use as it does not comply to Fire Regs in many ways despite his assurances and can't be fixed. It is not self-closing, the gaps along the sides and top are too wide, a bit of the fame is missing where he removed the old lock. The intumescent strip is not properly attached. He is demanding more money on top of his quote.

I contracted Alfie to refurbish a large area of Cotswold stone terrace and pathways around my home in Godalming. The terrace was a mess. Alfie and his team made a great job of removing all the old cement mortar pointing, relaying loose slabs, re-jointing and tidying up the area, including rebuilding the front door step. His young team were friendly, polite and hard working and I am happy to recommend them to anyone considering hard landscaping work. Everything was delivered to the agreed plan.
