Are Rated People liable for tradespeople's work?

Rated People connects homeowners with tradespeople as an introductory service, we are unable to take liability for the actions or quality of work that Tradespeople undertake. Whilst we do conduct ongoing monitoring on active accounts, we cannot be held liable for any actions of said account holders.

Homeowners posting jobs are not obligated to accept quotes from our Tradespeople and we always recommend conducting your own checks as per our Homeowner checklist, alongside ensuring mutual understanding of work scope and charges is emphasised in any agreements made.

Rated People highlights non-liability as part of our user agreement, except for cases of death or personal injury caused by our own negligence. We regularly review negative ratings and reviews, removing tradespeople who fall below our standards in order to minimise the risk that consumers may hire tradespeople who have performed work that other homeowners have legitimately been unhappy with.
