Can I add ratings for work I have completed outside Rated People?
Yes, you can add ratings from jobs you have completed outside of Rated People. These are called external ratings.
An external rating is a review from a customer you have previously worked with, where the job was not originally posted through the Rated People platform. This is a great way - especially for newer members - to showcase your experience and build credibility by highlighting work you have completed in the past.
Homeowners can clearly see whether a rating is internal (from a Rated People job) or external, so everything remains transparent.
How to request an external rating
To add an external rating, you will need to invite your previous customer to leave a review. You can do this by following these steps:
- Log in to your Rated People account via the App
- Go to More
- Select Off Platform Ratings
- Request by text or email
Your customer will then receive an email inviting them to leave a rating based on the work you completed for them. Once they submit their feedback, the rating will appear on your profile as an external rating.
Adding external ratings can help strengthen your profile and give homeowners more confidence when choosing you for their job.
