How do you know that the ratings are genuine?

Tradespeople’s profile page includes all the ratings they’ve received from homeowners, both on and off the Rated People platform. When a tradesperson signs up with us, we accept off-platform ratings from previous homeowner customers to help them get started and build their profile.

We make sure our rating system is as fair and transparent as possible by signposting these as an ‘External rating’ on their profile page, to separate them from the other ratings from customers who have hired the tradesperson through Rated People and left a rating.
