How does a customer know that my ratings are genuine?

Your profile page showcases all the ratings received from homeowners, whether obtained through the Rated People platform or from external sources. As tradespeople join our platform, we welcome off-platform ratings from their previous homeowner customers, providing a head start in building their profile. To ensure fairness and transparency, these external ratings are clearly labelled as 'external ratings' on your profile page, distinguishing them from ratings given by customers who hired you through Rated People.

We diligently review ratings and comments, actively screening for offensive language. Additionally, we conduct random spot checks on both positive and negative ratings. Through automated checks, we can also detect any attempts made by tradespeople to rate themselves.
