Ive asked Patrick to give me a price for a bathroom design and refurbishment for six months hence. When he came to quote, I asked if he could sort out a problem in my utility room. The plumber was really quick – he fixed the dripping tap in about 20 minutes. But then he charged us £168, which is outrageous. I'd avoid 'The Local Plumber Service'. They quote £62.50 for 30 minutes, but they actually charge a full hour no matter how quick the job is. That's really misleading."
