I was badly disappointed with the work, discussed this with Petru, sent him photos, he was still adamant he had done excellent work. I had to engage another contractor, who I had to pay not only to do the work, but to undo the poor outcome of Petru's work. I hired Petru based on his excellent feedback, and considered asking him to do more work in my home; I regret that decision, and will not hire contractors via websites like this any time again.

George recently carried out some work at my property, including removing two stud walls, taking out an old toilet, and fitting a new sink. He quoted a very fair price, stuck to the agreed timescale, and completed everything to a high standard. He was punctual, professional, and cleaned up at the end of each day. The quality of his work was excellent, and the space looks much better now. I’d happily recommend George and will use him again in the future.

We recently had Jay come to replace our radiators, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. He arrived on time, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was fitted perfectly. Jay was also very respectful of the space, kept things tidy, and even took the opened packaging of the radiators with him. The new radiators look and perform great thanks to his skill. DB Building Conservation specialises in the use of lime plasters for the repair of listed and period buildings. We are period property experts. We have extensive experience of lime plastering, render and traditional materials such as lath and plaster and wattle and daub. We also undertake repointing and wall repairs with flint and clunch. I have an MSc in Building Conservation and can advise on many aspects of the care and renewal of traditional buildings whether listed or not. Issues such as damp and insulation in old properties are a speciality. We can also recommend and liaise with other tradespeople who are qualified to repair historic timber, brick and stone. We have a detailed knowledge of regulations as they apply to Listed Buildings and have long experience of guiding owners through the process of obtaining listed building consent. Dan did such a great job with our 17th century lime wall. Painstakingly removing the modern repair without damaging the surrounding plaster and then re-lathing and finishing with lime plaster. You can hardly see where the repair is even though we didn't skim the whole wall to preserve wall paintings. Very clean and tidy and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, highly recommended.

Excellent visit from Kevin and Phil yesterday to carry out maintenance work on our 14 Velux windows. They did a thorough job of cleaning and lubricating the hinges and mechanisms, and solved issues we had opening a couple of the windows.
