Having worked for over 32 years with the same firm as a painter and decorator I am now self employed as they ceased trading in 2012. I have experience in working in different environments, big and small, inside and out. No job to big or to small!
We were in a different city to the job, so we had to rely on Eric to manage the work; including liaising with letting agents to pick up keys etc. He did this very well, always did what he said he would, and was always trustworthy. We went up to meet Eric at the end of the job and he's clearly a very professional and likeable person. Yani is an amazing plasterer. His work is first class and our walls are now as smooth as glass. We are having every room plastered, , and painted, and Yani is an expert at it all. The job was a complete en-suite shower room renovation. The existing fixtures and fittings were removed and a complete new suite installed. This requires alterations to one of the walls to increase the size of the room, and plasterwork in the en-suite and adjoining room. The wall and floor were completely tiled and new lighting, shower, basin and WC were fitted. The reason that Wayne got the job was that he appeared very professional from the outset. He arrived right on time, was knowledgeable, willing to provide ideas and provided a detailed written quote and work schedule. He allowed me the option of choosing my own materials, which he would then purchase for me to save me any hassle. He dealt with the suppliers and took delivery of the goods. One other confidence booster is the fact that he didn't take a penny until the job was complete and I was completely satisfied. Once the job began, minor changes to the specification weren't a problem. Wayne accepted changes, and provided verbal cost updates if the change had a cost impact. I would have to say that he is more than fair in terms of the additional cost of his labour and didn't take a mark-up on materials. Throughout the job he was very punctual, and his work ethic was exceptional. He obviously takes great pride in what he does, and it shows in the finished product. I would certainly recommend Wayne.
