Charlie quote to repair a leak. Price was too high for me. I either needed other quotes or to lower the price a little. We both agreed to a lower price. Job was to start two days later. That morning, he asked to shift the job to the next day - he was over-worked. The next day he cancelled at the start time - emergency. 3 days later he phoned me at the job start time to increase the price back to the original amount. 1 weeks time wasted, 3 times re-arranged, massive hassle for tenanants and me.

Ben’s journey in construction started at an early age. He grew up on construction sites alongside his father, who had a long-standing background in construction and worked directly on government projects. This gave Ben an early understanding of construction that came from being around real projects, real trades and the realities of building. He later studied Architecture, developing a deeper understanding of design, structure and how buildings come together. During this time, his passion for timber and craftsmanship became particularly strong. He discovered that what interested him most was not only designing buildings, but actually creating them. Before establishing NOAH Construction, Ben also gained experience working for leading construction companies, where he was exposed to projects worth millions of pounds and was involved in works with values reaching approximately £10 million. This experience gave him an understanding of the organisation, standards and responsibility required on larger construction projects. NOAH Construction was then established as a way to build something of his own. In just three years, the company has progressed from delivering smaller projects to successfully undertaking works ranging from approximately £50,000 to £1 million in value. Today, Ben combines three important parts of his background: hands-on construction experience from an early age, architectural education, and experience working within larger-scale construction environments. His particular passion remains timber and craftsmanship, but his approach to construction goes beyond one material or trade. The goal is to understand the project as a whole, build it properly and deliver work that he can stand behind. They could not do the job because the electric hot water tank they install is a standard size. I need a emersion water tank that is no more than 450mm in diameter. But they were very polite and got back to me and were honest about why they could not do the job.
