George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. During the Covid pandemic, I became ill and was unable to work for the best part of two years, which led to the closure of my previous business and Rated People account, hence the gap in my ratings. After two phone conversations, we agreed on a specific date for the work to begin. Unfortunately, the contractor did not turn up, even though I had taken a day off work specifically for the installation. Communication was also very poor, with messages going unanswered and no clear notice that the appointment would not go ahead. Overall, this was very unprofessional and resulted in nothing but a waste of my time.

Dan visited and gave me a quote for the job. He then turned up with Tom to help on the day and have to say they did a very tidy job of strimming the grass, raking it up and clearing. Chopped up a dead tree which had fallen onto the land into logs and stacked tidy. They did what I asked them to do and were polite and informative in letting me know when they could next be here. Decent guys!

Unfortunately I can't leave no stars ad that is all this so called building company deserves.They are also unable to tell the truth in their response to Our review.No it wasn't a 3mm drop, when he went back to b+q to get more products to further his bodge up My Wife measured the drop(he claimed at the time it was 5mm.can't even remember his own lies)The drop was 13 mm.Ues He came back and had a 2nd attempt to rectify the bodged job,making an even worse mess.By this time We were both sick to death of him
I’m a qualified carpenter, undertaking all aspects of 1st and 2nd fix carpentry work. I’m happy to take on bigger projects but also enjoy smaller jobs too.
