Hi , I'm Mark, from MS Interiors. I've been working in the building industry for over 35 years! On leaving school ,I went into a bricklaying apprenticeship, but after three English winter's I decided to find a trade indoors so I got a job on the council, working for Woolwich, Bexley, and then Meadway, where I learned all the skills needed to renovate house, fitting kitchens, bathrooms, hanging doors, plastering, etc. Then came contracts with MFI, Wickes, and B&Q, where I stayed for five years and fitted 200 kitchens and bathrooms! I've worked for local kitchen and bathroom companies and have been working independently on my own now for the last three years doing small renovation work, like building rooms in corners of bedrooms to give the client a enuit , decorating, internal wall removal, flooring , building wardrobes/cabinets / madia walls etc , but predominantly bathrooms!! I really couldn't put a figure on how many bathrooms I've fitted in my working life but it would be in the region of 350 , so I do feel confident in my knowledge and skills as a fitter . I pride myself on my tiling, always trying to strive for perfection as this is what the client sees ! Not that I cut corners anywhere else, using only copper pipe and fittings, and no push fit fittings because that is not plumbing, in my opinion! Many thanks for your time. Mark.

I have grown up on a construction site and have always had a good hand in lead ever since I was 4 years old. I had worked with my father doing plumbing and by the time I was 13 years old I was a part time partner in his company, I further went to college and qualified in level 2 NVQ Plumbing and had carried a full-term apprenticeship, creating a portfolio. Once finishing my qualifications I became a full time partner in my father’s general building company which entailed doing, extensions, refurbs, plumbing and heating, kitchen & bathroom refurbishments, new builds, roofing and lead work. We ran the company together for a further 8 years on top of his 45 years of quality construction. Afterwards I have done my own jobs and have now recently created my own company B.J.T Construction, named after my 3 young boys a business that shows we are built upon family, integrity, quality and professional standards. To help create a business that will always provide everything the client requires and to which everything that should be upheld.

Ben’s journey in construction started at an early age. He grew up on construction sites alongside his father, who had a long-standing background in construction and worked directly on government projects. This gave Ben an early understanding of construction that came from being around real projects, real trades and the realities of building. He later studied Architecture, developing a deeper understanding of design, structure and how buildings come together. During this time, his passion for timber and craftsmanship became particularly strong. He discovered that what interested him most was not only designing buildings, but actually creating them. Before establishing NOAH Construction, Ben also gained experience working for leading construction companies, where he was exposed to projects worth millions of pounds and was involved in works with values reaching approximately £10 million. This experience gave him an understanding of the organisation, standards and responsibility required on larger construction projects. NOAH Construction was then established as a way to build something of his own. In just three years, the company has progressed from delivering smaller projects to successfully undertaking works ranging from approximately £50,000 to £1 million in value. Today, Ben combines three important parts of his background: hands-on construction experience from an early age, architectural education, and experience working within larger-scale construction environments. His particular passion remains timber and craftsmanship, but his approach to construction goes beyond one material or trade. The goal is to understand the project as a whole, build it properly and deliver work that he can stand behind.
