George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. The basic work was done, but I’d agreed with mark that he does a number of other pieces of work because the price I’d agreed with him was too much for resetting of 30 or so bricks. But before I knew anything about it he’d taken down the scaffolding and packed up claiming he’d done everything possible. I’d paid handsomely for a days work, I got a couple of hours max. BE WARNED! OK plasterer, APPALLING BUILDER. Put rubber roof on when wet, so now roof is blistering/bubbling. Tried to use piece of aluminum and wood to hold up roof--told by builder inspector he needed lintel. Lied to us, ignored inspector & tried to carry on using aluminum. Tired to get us to pay for insulation included in the quote. Got angry when we asked him not to smoke in our house. Three weeks after said work would be done (and with no changes to original job), walked off job without work completed.
