Fired him for appalling work, no-shows and delays; see his other bad reviews. He's a middle man; does not do any work; got others to do it like a plumber, then a tiler the next day; slow work made worse when someone messed up or did not show up. Ali only shows to deliver materials or check work. Quick to reply when wanting the job. Slow/no response once job starts thinking you wont cancel. Materials I paid not returned; take every receipt and check you keep/use every item as he will even for wipes/tape

James was hired to fit 5 internal doors. It took him 3 days, and the work was careless, lazy, and full of mistakes, excuses, lies and frustration. He blamed the doors, house, locks, anything but himself. I wasn't going to leave a review, but after he left I was able to fix —by myself— issues that he tried to gaslight me into believing it was the best possible outcome. I suspect his "27 years of experience" was made up, and the problem was nothing but absolute lack of skill, care and work ethic.

Fantastic work. Andy is very professional and knowledgeable. Prompt, friendly and very competitive prices. We are building a 2 storey side extension and Andy is doing all the building works. We used Kingz for clearance of a very overgrown garden and new fencing. They did exactly what they said they would do in their quote. They worked hard, left the garden tidy, and took away all the waste. They were very pleasant and Emma, in particular, gave good advice regarding ongoing after care of the garden. James Butler also trades as CGS Landscapes. He paved my driveway with poor quality slabs in September 2024 blaming the manufacturer and not himself. More broken slabs has been replaced by him 3 times in 6 months. He has refused to respond to my calls. He texted back calling me. STUPID when I texted him to say I will report him to RatedPeople and the authorities. More slabs broke 2 days ago. Sent him the picture. He simply texted back: MOVED TO DEVON NO LONGER WORKING. Please don’t hire James Butler.
