Quoted low in writing; raised it by more than 3.5 x, once the slates were off in rain. 5 men/boys speaking little English left to complete work. Failed to do all quoted for. Basic roof repair looks as If it may be ok, but slates broken and render sliding off in the rain. Asked them to finish before payment. Different team sent. 2 working, 3 watching. Left terrible mess. Boss aggressive on phone. Told to inspect job myself if I was so clever. Threaening to remove roofing by climbing from neighbours house.

I hired them to fix a long-standing leak; initial communication was good. The repair, done by what seemed like subcontractors, was shortly followed by a new leak. They denied responsibility, but an independent inspection found clear deficiencies. They had also promised 15 years warranty, but failed to provide promised papers despite multiple requests, and have since ignored all communication. Considering legal action.
