George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. A guy called Michael showed up, gave it all the large talk about what he would do. Gave him an address for another project also out of goodwill so he didn’t have to buy another lead. Promised to get back to me despite promising me he would return that week to do the work. Instead just ignored every phone call and message. He kept mentioning about wanting to do it in the evening…. This was impossible as it was a shopfront. Absolutely no balls, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

We hired ES Electrical to fit our new Kitchen and also added a toilet and shower unit downstairs. Andy chose an FD30 door. He asked for £250 in advance which I paid as he seemed trustworthy. He trimmed the door and has damaged top and bottom. No peephole as promised. The door is of no use as it does not comply to Fire Regs in many ways despite his assurances and can't be fixed. It is not self-closing, the gaps along the sides and top are too wide, a bit of the fame is missing where he removed the old lock. The intumescent strip is not properly attached. He is demanding more money on top of his quote.
