We are a period/listed property restoration company. We specialise in traditional materials and methods. Often our work is to Identity and rectify damp issues which arise from the use of modern materials on period properties where breathable materials are imperative for the buildings features and characteristics to function. Once the breathability of the property is compromised damp issues will occur. We offer damp assessments for your property with a full report to guide you in the right direction eradicating current and future damp issues. Our assessments cost: £140 including guidance and a full report which details the source(s) of the damp & mould, how to eradicate the issues. - Lime rendering & plastering with horse hair. - Lime pointing. - Masonry repairs. - Paint removal using the Thermatech hot steam cleaning system. - Brick/stone feature walls. - lime wash - Breathable Painting. - lime plaster/render We often work with conservation officers from the authorities to ensure our works are of the highest standards.

Mark of MJWD provided a competitive quote for the refurbishment of my garden which involved re-fencing, soil removal, full paving and associated drainage and also creation of steps. I have grown up on a construction site and have always had a good hand in lead ever since I was 4 years old. I had worked with my father doing plumbing and by the time I was 13 years old I was a part time partner in his company, I further went to college and qualified in level 2 NVQ Plumbing and had carried a full-term apprenticeship, creating a portfolio. Once finishing my qualifications I became a full time partner in my father’s general building company which entailed doing, extensions, refurbs, plumbing and heating, kitchen & bathroom refurbishments, new builds, roofing and lead work. We ran the company together for a further 8 years on top of his 45 years of quality construction. Afterwards I have done my own jobs and have now recently created my own company B.J.T Construction, named after my 3 young boys a business that shows we are built upon family, integrity, quality and professional standards. To help create a business that will always provide everything the client requires and to which everything that should be upheld.
