Made a total mess of a small extension. Quoted 2 weeks and after 7 I sacked him off as we were going nowhere. Massive list of his work didn’t comply with building regs and ended up fitting a purlin to roof as he used wrong sized joists. I now have bits of roof hanging off after max 30 mph winds Even managed to cock guttering up so down pipe is nowhere near drains. Roof leaking and I have had to sack him off and pay another load of cash to a set of lads who can do the job. Avoid or he’ll bankrupt you

He did find an unexpected complication and after consulting with me rectified the problem, this came at a little extra cost but it was a necessary addition. Vinny removed a rotting timber beam and replaced it with a steel beam. It sounds simple but I saw skill and experience producing an excellent job. Take my word for it because the beam is now hidden by a coat of render, looking exactly as it did before.

Joe's friendly, responsive and did a first-rate job of making good the (somewhat fiddly) housing around a new Velux window. He also had to work around the window installers who had to come back to sort out a bit of their own dodgy workmanship. We'll certainly hire Joe for any future plastering jobs and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone else.
