A SUMMARY of issues follows. 1 - Plastering done is uneven. 2 - Did not allow plaster to dry before painting walls so already peeling off. 3 - Found number of areas where holes had been left, and had these not been pointed out would have been left. 4 - Wood not sanded before painting, incl. new skirting boards. 5 - Threats when I refused to pay!

Started promptly but the job, expected to take just over a week, dragged on for over 6 weeks with repeated delays and requests for additional interim payments. Communication became poor and the work was left incomplete. I eventually had to hire another contractor to finish it, costing me an extra £1,450. Despite acknowledging the situation and promising to reimburse the additional cost, no payment has been made.

Bellhurst Construction gave me a very detailed quote and were able to start the job promptly. Darrel worked with me on adjusting he quote in order to prioritise the things that needed the most attention. We were held up a few days by the weather initially, but once things were underway I was very happy with how things progressed. We wanted a shower regrouting and resealing as it had developed some cracks and was potentially leaking water into the wall. Andrew quoted us quickly and came round to do the work in line with the timings agreed. There were some additional bits around the bathroom that needed doing and these were all sorted and completed on the day. The work was all done with quality materials and to a good finish.
