A guy called Michael showed up, gave it all the large talk about what he would do. Gave him an address for another project also out of goodwill so he didn’t have to buy another lead. Promised to get back to me despite promising me he would return that week to do the work. Instead just ignored every phone call and message. He kept mentioning about wanting to do it in the evening…. This was impossible as it was a shopfront. Absolutely no balls, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

John and the team did an outstanding job. It was easy to work with John and he was very knowledgeable, and provided very sensible advice. Other people quoted work which was over-the-top or wouldn't have solved the problem but John got right to the issue in a no-nonsense way. I was impressed how Amir took the job very quickly - he arrived to work a few hours after seeing the post. He was very friendly and polite and was happy to take the job. However, I really would not recommend him for carpentry work. This was an easy job, where the carpentry was already done and it just needed fitting. He arrived with the wrong tools (had to use mine) and very poorly fitted the cupboards and shelves, to the extent I had to pay another tradesperson to fix the job. The finish was awful.
